In Loving Memory of Steve Wuest

A portrait of Steve Wuest

Obituary

Stephen "Steve" Wuest, a devoted father and grandfather, passed away on November 3, 2025, following a battle with liver cancer. He was 75 years old.

Born on June 26, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve was a 1968 graduate of Colerain High School. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University in 1972—cementing a lifelong loyalty to the Boilermakers—and later achieved an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1976.

Steve defined his professional life through hard work, precision, and leadership. He spent a significant portion of his career with Deloitte, where he rose to the position of Partner in the Cincinnati office. Following his initial retirement from Deloitte, he remained active in the business world, working as an executive recruiter. Colleagues and family knew him as incredibly organized, punctual, and a man who deeply valued professionalism.

Outside of his career, Steve was an avid golfer. A resident of the Legendary Run community, he also loved spending his winters at his home in Ocala, Florida, where he could escape the cold and enjoy the course year-round. In his later years, he found great joy in watching his grandchildren compete in their favorite sports: cheering on Leah and Claire in volleyball, Jack and Daniel in hockey, and Penny in ice skating.

His family will fondly remember his enjoyment of a crisp Gin and Tonic, his generous spirit, and the fact that strangers frequently mistook him for Harrison Ford.

Steve is survived by his wife, Marjean (Miller) Wuest; his son, Brandon Wuest; his daughter, Kristin Szabo; and his cherished grandchildren: Penny, Jack, Daniel, Leah, and Claire. He is also survived by his brother, Greg, and his first wife, Susan. He was preceded in death by his father, Milt, and his mother, Ann.
